Extreme Survival

Earth is certainly a beautiful place and it is the only planet which holds the perfect atmosphere for the humans to live. Lets guess how many days/hours/minutes will you survive on the other knowns planets in this universe? Well you will surely appreciate your planet more when you look at how long you would survive unprotected around the solar system.

There's nowhere beside Earth where you could survive any longer than two minutes. Mercury and Mars are the only planet in the solar system where one can survive as long as you can hold your breath.

On the other planets like Sun and Venus, you will be instantly vaporised, or will be crushed by a pressure of a gas planet.

On Mercury the side facing the sun is super hot and the opposite side is super cold.

The Surface of the Venus is is 900 degrees Fahrenheit, hotter than a pizza oven.

Jupiter has no surface to land on, you would descend into its gaseous atmosphere until you are crushed by the pressure.

Feeling lucky? Well you must!

Animals Under Arrest!

Humans are called as rational animal because we understand what is right and what's wrong.  We have the ability to distinguish between the good and bad.  There are laws, rules and regulations upon which we act and follow. If you do an act which is against the law, you are to published,  you might even go to jail.

Ever heard of animals being arrested for doing a crime or acting against the human law? It's not only the humans who are at the risk of getting arrested, non humans animal can,  and have been arrested too.

In 2013, in European nation of Moldova a cat was arrested in a prison facility.  Guards noticed the cat sneaking through the holes in the walls of the prison and eventually examined the cat.  They found small bags of cannabis on the cat and took it to a holding cell to prevent it from being used to smuggle drugs within the prison in the future.

In 2013, in India a group of goats were arrested for vandalising police cars.

In 2009, in Nigeria a goat was arrested on charges of robbery.

Well, no matter who you are,  if you do a crime you are to be published. So animals start surfing Internet and get these laws in your head. *wink*

Suicide Forest in Japan

Why would someone kill themselves? I read one quote which reads 'Suicidal people are just angels who wants to go home'. Well this is just to pacify the situation or the person. One can indulge in a long debate about the thoughts of people committing suicide and it may go nowhere. Suicidal doesn't kill people sadness kills them.

Aokigahara also known as the suicide forest or Sea of Trees which lies at Northwest base of Mount Fuji. This forest has a historic association with scary, angry ghosts of dead in Japanese Mythology and it has been tagged as a common suicide point.

The forest is reportedly the most popular site for suicide in Japan and among the top three  most popular site for suicide in the world. Approx 30 suicides are documented every year during the period leading up to 1988.

  • In 2003, 105 bodies were found in the forest which exceeded the previous record of 78 bodies in 2002
  • In 2010, more than 200 (estimated) people had attempted suicide in the forest, of whom 54 completed the act
  • The most common means of suicide in the forest were hanging or drug overdose- as of 2011
  • With these big numbers. the local officials has stopped publicizing the number of deaths in an attempt to downplay Aokigahara's associations with suicide.

This has led the officials to put a sign board at the forest entry written in Japanese, urging suicidal visitors to seek help and not to end their lives.

It is said that the forest is reputedly haunted by angry spirits of those left to die.

Genes of Jeans

You open your wardrobe and there you are slapped with those piled up clothes falling on you. You dig your favorite jeans and try it. Umm... not fitting? try the other one.. ummm little okay... dig more and you get your best look jean! You flaunt the brand! slide the belt inside and you are ready to walk!

Everyone is conscious about their fashion and everybody knows how to get the perfect look and Jeans have always been the fashion king for you. What so good about this worn look style jeans?

Jean or Jeans are trousers often made from denim or dungaree cloth. Often the term "jeans" refers to a particular style of pants, called "blue jeans," which were invented by Jacob Davis in 1871.

Jeans were originally designed for Cowboys and Miners and it soon became popular among the teenagers.

Jeans are now available in various fits including skinny, tapered, slim, straight, boot cut, narrow bottom, low waist, anti-fit, and flare.

Research on the trade of jean fabric shows that it emerged in the cities of Genoa, Italy, and Nice. In Nimes, weavers tried to reproduce jean but instead developed a similar twill fabric that became known as denim, from de Nimes, meaning "from Nimes".

Denim is not the only sturdy cotton fabric used for everything from working clothes to fashion items. There is also Dungaree. Dungaree was mentioned for the first time in the 17th century, when it was referred to as cheap, coarse thick cotton cloth, often colored blue but sometimes white, worn by impoverished people in Bombay, India a dockside village called Dongri. Dungri was exported to England and used for manufacturing of cheap, robust working clothes. English began to call “Dungri” cloth a little different and it became “Dungaree”.

Care and Wear of Jeans:

Despite most jeans being “pre-shrunk”, they are still sensitive to slight further shrinkage and loss of color from being washed. The Levi Strauss company recommends avoiding washing jeans as much as possible. The less you wash your jeans, the better your jeans become.

These and other suggestions to avoid washing jeans where possible have encountered criticism.

For those who prefer to refrain from washing their jeans there have been suggestions to freeze them in order to kill the germs that cause odor. However, this advice has been disputed as ineffective and replaced with the suggestion of baking them for ten minutes at 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

Such are the genes of Jeans!!

Wear it and Flaunt it!

The Exorcism of Emily Rose

Hey readers! Well I m sure many had seen the movie "Exorcism of Emily Rose."

The movie is loosely based on the life and story of Anneliese Michel a German Catholic women who was said to be possessed by demons.

Anneliese Michel was born on September 21, 1952 in west Germany. When she was sixteen, she suffered a severe convulsion and was diagnosed as having epilepsy. She soon suffered from depression and began to hear voices telling her that she was “damned" and will "rot in hell".

Her treatment in an unnamed psychiatric hospital did not improve Michel’s health. Moreover, her depression began to deepen. She grew increasingly frustrated with medical intervention as it did not help. Anneliese was unable to walk past a crucifix and refused to drink the water of a holy spring, her escort concluded that she was suffering from demonic possession.

Once convinced of her possession, Anneliese, her parents, and the exorcists stopped seeking medical treatment, and put her fate solely into the hands of the exorcism rites. Sixty-seven exorcism sessions, one or two each week, lasting up to four hours, were performed over about ten months.

On 1 July 1976, Anneliese died in her sleep. The autopsy report stated the cause of death as malnutrition and dehydration from almost a year of semi-starvation while the rites of exorcism were performed She weighed 30.91 kilograms.

Thank you.

Mountain of Junk

Ever been to Mount Everest? If the answer is yes, what good did you see there? If the answer is 'beautiful snow caped peaks, deep valleys, green forest', well of-course you needed an adventure and that's why you planned for a hiking to this beautiful mount.

What happens when such beauties are declared as tourist place? The answer is simple, it no more remains beautiful.

More than 1000 people climbed Mount Everest , the worlds highest peak since it was conquered in 1953.

They and their support teams have dropped more than 50 tonnes of rubbish making Everest the highest rubbish dump. (interesting but sad).

In 2001 Nepalese Sherpas (a local guide) collected more than 6 tonnes of paper bags, Tents, ropes, clothes, aluminium ladders, batteries, oxygen bottles and plastic bags.

Nepal now charges climbers Euro- 3000 Deposits which is returned only if they remove all their rubbish. Well now that's called environmental management.

Request to all to please take measure to keep our mother earth clean and hygienic. please!!

Thank you.
